Job Title: Oracle EBS Developer Location: UK - North Type: Permanent Reference: 63311/VIM Contact: Vincent Masat Description: The job purpose is to deliver technical solutions for Oracle Applications, working alongside functional analysts & business users to define specifications, and ensuring that solutions comply with the client Development Standards. The principal accountabilities are to: - Deliver and maintain custom technical solutions in line with requirements of the business users. - Develop solutions adhering to the client coding standards and version control methodology. - Document all technical solutions following the client Development Documentation Sets. - Provide accurate estimates for work based on functional specifications & Service Desk requests. - Fully test all customisations before release to business users. - Provide support and technical assistance to other members of the Oracle team as required. - Manage own time effectively to meet agreed targets. - Manage own future development needs so that providing technical solutions using best practice Oracle Development tools. - Respond to problems raised by users via Service Desk. - Report on progress against planned activities (weekly). The right candidate will have the following essential skills: - 3 years of Oracle development experience in any version. - 2 years of Oracle Applications 11i development experience. - Must have some or all of core E-business Suite modules - Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Purchasing (PO), Order Management (OM), Inventory (INV), Bills of Material (BOM) - Oracle database version 10g - Oracle PL/SQL. - Oracle Reports version 6i. - Oracle Forms version 6i. - Oracle Workflow Builder version 2.6 - Oracle Discoverer version 10g - Oracle SQL*Loader. - Oracle Application Personalisation’s - IBM AIX or Unix operating systems. - The ability to engage with project managers, functional consultants and end users to aid delivery of functional specifications. - The ability to design and deliver technical solutions and specifications.
