Our client, a premier financial institution, is a leader in the European market. They are part of a world renowned group of businesses and institutions.


Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We're searching for a Business Support Engineer to work on Core Business Solutions and assist with the digital transformation initiative. The role encompasses ongoing maintenance, proactive monitoring, and internal support, which are all essential for business users.

1. Investigate and troubleshoot incidents linked to both technical and process aspects.
2. Employ monitoring tools for preemptive issue prevention and process optimisation.
3. Oversee production incidents, liaising between Business, Technical, and third-party entities.
4. Prioritise and troubleshoot technical glitches, escalating when necessary.
5. Participate in projects, business analysis, development lifecycle and hot fixes testing.
6. Follow up on production deployments to ensure production stability.
7. Facilitate digital transformation by retiring legacy systems and fostering proficiency in new tech among users.
8. Educate users for efficient tool utilisation, while staying updated on new and emerging technology.


Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Previous professional experience in Business/Application support
2. Banking/Financial Services exposure, particularly Payments or on-boarding processes.
3. Appreciation for SQL, with JIRA knowledge being advantageous.
4. Familiarity with database reporting, especially Microsoft Server Reporting Services.
5. Capacity to manage concurrent priorities and ad hoc demands effectively.
6. be able to manage several priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
7. Ideally you will have strong knowledge on Windows systems, TSQL, SSIS and SSRS. Experience on IBM systems.


Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Programming/development familiarity.
2. Exposure to API and Microservice architecture.
3. Understanding of IT development lifecycle and Agile methodology.
4. Willingness to learn banking processes and systems, showcasing adaptability.
