Job Title: Cable Technician
Location: Republic of Ireland - Carlow
Salary/Rate: €16 - €19 per hour
Start Date: 25/09/2023
Job Type: Contract


Company Introduction:
Working as part of the operations team, the Cable Technician must be able to deliver a quality installation service as specified by the clients, liaise with customers in a professional, courteous and efficient manner, complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner and report back/update the office/supervisor as required.
 

Job Responsibilities 
1. Undertake installation of heavy-duty underground cables
2. Be fully conversant with daily Construction Site Safety Practices
3. Be able to carry out Traffic Management, Sign, Lighting and Guarding
4. Understand the physical construction of cable networks
5. Be able to read and understand Legends, Diagrams, and Schematic Designs
6. Be able to safely operate fibre-blowing machines
7. Be able to Rod and Rope Cable ducts

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Safe Pass Card
2. Manual Handling
3. Understand and follow Health and Safety rules
4. Driving License

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Sign lighting and guarding are desirable
2. MS Word and Excel Desirable
