My client is a crypto-native organisation of builders and capital advisers, focused on investing in and developing cutting-edge software in emerging Crypto and Blockchain technologies. Managing a range of offshore funds that serve global investors, they are seeking a senior-level DeFi Yielding Expert to join their fast-growing team on a full-time basis.

Job Summary:

As a DeFi Yielding Expert, you will be responsible for identifying and optimising risk-adjusted yielding opportunities within the decentralised finance (DeFi) space. You will play a key role in their yield farming operations, providing strategic advice on portfolio allocation, conducting due diligence on new protocols, and aligning their investment strategies with the latest trends in DeFi. Knowledge of offshore fund accounting, risk management, and transaction oversight will be critical for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise directors on portfolio allocation strategies for yield-generating opportunities.
• Manage and participate in yield farming operations, including co-signing transactions.
• Identify and evaluate risk-adjusted yielding opportunities across various DeFi protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive risk due diligence on DeFi protocols, focusing on smart contract, economic, and governance risks.
• Maintain and update internal alert systems to monitor changes and risks in DeFi protocols.
• Track emerging trends such as new protocol launches, meta-strategies, and airdrop opportunities.
• Participate in investment committee discussions, providing insights on capital allocation and risk management.

Key Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of DeFi protocols: Extensive experience with decentralised finance platforms and tools.
• Proven track record in yield farming: Strong expertise in managing and executing yield farming strategies.
• Expertise in risk management: Ability to assess and manage risks associated with smart contracts, economic models, and governance structures within DeFi protocols.
• Proficiency with on-chain investigation tools: Advanced experience using tools like Etherscan, Nansen, and Phalcon to inspect and validate transaction data.
• Attention to detail: Experience with reviewing transaction data and ensuring accuracy before execution.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: Independent thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and work autonomously.
• Disciplined and detail-oriented: Strong self-motivation and a focused approach to handling complex responsibilities.
