Delivery Manager - Azure DevOps & DevOps Toolchain

Day Rate: £600 - £672 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - UK-based, with up to 3 days per week in Central London
Travel: Occasional travel to Leeds required during the discovery phase (expenses covered)
Duration: 2 months - opportunity for extension

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong track record of leading large-scale technology delivery engagements, particularly involving Azure DevOps and DevOps toolchain solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are executed effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with business objectives. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive delivery governance, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work from Central London for up to three days per week, depending on project demands. A greater on-site presence may be required during the discovery phase. The role also requires a willingness to travel to Leeds during discovery, with travel expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology engagements, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards.
• Oversee the implementation and delivery of Azure DevOps and DevOps toolchain solutions.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Establish and maintain effective delivery governance, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, providing clear communication on progress, priorities, and delivery outcomes.
• Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and efficient delivery practices.
• Ensure delivery remains aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.
• Support discovery activities, including on-site engagement in Central London and travel to Leeds when required.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager within large-scale technology delivery environments.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Azure DevOps.
• In-depth understanding of the DevOps toolchain and associated delivery processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology teams and complex delivery engagements.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in delivery governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
