Job Title: Lead Analyst Programmer - Elite 3E
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid working)
Salary/Rate: £60,000 - £65,000

We are seeking an experienced Lead Analyst Programmer - Elite 3E to join our Digital Practice Solutions team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled software developer, finance systems specialist or technical lead to take ownership of the development, enhancement and support of our core business applications. The successful candidate will become a key technical expert for Elite 3E and related financial systems, including integrations and supporting applications.

You will play a central role in delivering technology solutions, improving system functionality and ensuring reliable support for critical business platforms.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the Elite 3E system.
• Provide technical support for internally developed applications, integrations and the Elite 3E platform.
• Lead software development activities from initial specification and design through to build, release and ongoing support.
• Work with consultants, developers, business analysts and technical architects to deliver new solutions, modules and system enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Work with internal users to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to achieve business outcomes and maintain strong working relationships.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues and ensure software delivers the required results.
• Support system integration testing and coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Provide third-line technical support and resolve escalated incidents.
• Act as a key contact for system upgrades and improvements.
• Participate in an on-call support rota when required.

About You

You will have strong software development experience and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.

You may already have experience working with Elite 3E, or you may have experience with similar enterprise finance systems and be looking to develop specialist expertise in this area.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience with web-based software architecture and design.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting skills.
• Experience using Microsoft development tools and technologies, including .NET Framework (primarily VB.NET).
• Experience working with XML technologies, including XSLT and XPath.
• Ability to produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide accurate estimates and manage delivery commitments.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Previous experience working with finance systems or enterprise business applications.
• Experience with Elite 3E or similar financial management platforms.
• Experience supporting customisable third-party software solutions.
• Experience creating and maintaining reports using Elite 3E, Microsoft SSRS or similar reporting tools.
• Knowledge of multi-tier application architectures and software design patterns.
• Experience developing business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of Elite 3E IDE and database structures.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or later.
• Strong database design, analysis and development experience.
• Awareness of current and future Microsoft technologies.
