Job Responsibilities/Objectives
We're currently seeking a Lead VFX Artist to join an exceptional VFX team, contributing to an all-new, thematically dark Sci-Fi shooter project.

1. Collaborate with the VFX Director and Art Director to bring the highest-quality VFX tasks to life.
2. Maintain organisation and create VFX project documentation.
3. Contribute to building an extensive library of template assets for the development team's use.
4. Develop a collection of key VFX concepts to showcase the game's visual direction.
5. Create benchmark VFX assets with clear documentation to guide the team.
6. Mentor and expedite on-boarding for new team members.
7. Maintain a high team focus and serve as a role model for team members at all levels.


Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Proficiency with a variety of VFX and 3D tools (e.g., 3D Studio Max, MAYA, Blender, Unreal/Unity, Simulation Software).
2. Expertise in understanding hardware limitations to minimise optimisation needs later in a project.
3. Expert-level skills in crafting real-time VFX assets, including a deep understanding of VFX shaders and relevant maps.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
5. Strong understanding of real-world pyrotechnics and naturals, including a keen sense of weight, timing, and scale.
6. A proactive approach to staying up-to-date with industry tech and processes, with a potential for innovative contributions.
