Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: London- Hybrid- 2-3 days in office
Salary/Rate: £430 Per Day - INSIDE IR35
Start Date: 21/01/2026- 31/05/2026- may be extended

Company Introduction:

We have an exciting new opportunity with one of our leading financial services clients. They are looking for a Platform Engineer.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Design and maintain cloud-native infrastructure for scalable and secure API hosting.
  Demonstrate experience with CDN solutions (e.g., Akamai), routing, and hosting edge compute services.
  Build and manage containerised environments and orchestration using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes for API services.
  Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for microservices and APIs.
  Ensure platform observability by integrating monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing solutions.
  Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards across the platform, including identity management and network policies.

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Multi-org strategy and governance experience.
• Transition/migration from monolithic to modular systems.
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator).
• Familiarity with automated testing and monitoring tools.
• Financial Services domain experience.
• Experience with Salesforce Metadata API and Tooling API.
• Inner-source development and branching strategies.
• Multi-package namespace management.
