Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled PMO Analyst to join their team for an initial contract until the end of November.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The PMO Analyst supports project, programme, and portfolio governance activities by providing accurate reporting, financial analysis, planning support, risk management, and management information. The role ensures delivery teams and stakeholders have timely, reliable insights to support effective decision-making and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Support governance forums, steering committees, portfolio reviews, and associated meetings and workshops.
  • Prepare executive-ready status reports, performance packs, dashboards, and management information.
  • Maintain accurate governance documentation, including actions, decisions, commitments, and key records.
  • Monitor delivery against agreed plans, milestones, dependencies, timelines, and objectives, highlighting deviations and emerging issues.
  • Ensure compliance with project delivery standards, governance requirements, and reporting processes.
  • Support budget tracking, forecasting, accruals, actuals, funding positions, and financial reporting, including variance analysis and investment reporting.
  • Support annual planning and budget cycles, providing financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Maintain RAID logs, track mitigation and resolution actions, and escalate emerging risks, issues, and dependencies as appropriate.
  • Produce regular risk, issue, delivery, financial, and operational reporting for governance and leadership teams.
  • Support resource and capacity management, including resource planning, utilisation, demand, onboarding, and workforce reporting.
  • Analyse delivery, financial, resource, and operational data to identify trends, variances, and actionable insights.
  • Ensure reporting data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across programmes.
  • Support reporting automation, process improvements, and more efficient management information.
  • Coordinate governance meetings and forums, ensuring actions, decisions, and commitments are captured and followed through.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Extensive experience within PMO, Project Support, Project Coordination, Business Management, or Portfolio Management.
  • Experience supporting complex programmes, technology projects, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
  • Experience producing executive reports and management information.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and delivery methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel andPowerPoint presentation development.
  • Portfolio reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Financial analysis and forecasting.
  • RAID management and governance, resource and capacity reporting.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Planview, Clarity, MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent
