Job Title: Hands-on Project Manager / Vendor & Supplier management

Location: Reading x2 days per week

Rate: Up to £550 per day - Inside IR35

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading telecoms clients! They are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong regulations & compliance experience.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding/experience with regulation and compliance, as well as commercial supplier agreements and within a Telco environment.

You will be working on a project assisting with a new regulation called the Telecoms Security Act. This act will ensure Telcom companies are really clamping down on security and mitigating risk to ensure our clients are resilient to any security risks, and are able to operate on networks independently of any integration we have with providers, particularly offshore, so that aren’t dependant on them.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Consult with the TSA Programme team to gather requirements for NSE and establish a project of actions that will ensure each active and new supplier conforms commercially and contractually with the regulation.

2. Review requirements with TSA Programme team, Procurement, Legal and NSE Operational teams to register and assess supplier activities, supplier access, commercial agreements and supplier governance to establish a valid and complete input to the TSA Programme team.

3. Ensure effective controls are in place to validate registered data and highlighting any gaps.

4. Provide detailed inputs and outputs reflecting from the TSA Proramme team, to establish compliance for the NSE supplier landscape, commercial contracts and in life governance model

5. Liaison and consultation with TSA Programme team and stakeholders across the organisation.

6. Providing input on NSE suppliers to Impact Assessment requests, and collating other such responses into integrated output reports

7. Interface with TSA Programme team to understand, manage and contribute to Supplier Management deliverables

8. Cross functional management of Supplier Management deliverables within defined SLAs, helping to identify relevant ownership and accountability

9. Engaging key stakeholders to clarify and deliver TSA Supplier Management requirements.

10. Identify Supplier Management deliverables dependencies between functions or across workstreams.

11. Support Supplier analysis across wider CTO functions

12. Scope and provide estimates for supplier, commercial and governance improvement activities to ensure TSR compliance, pulling together and defining all deliverables from RFP through to in life supplier management, identifying major tasks/deliverables, skill sets, and resource effort required.

Required Skills/Experience

1. PM experience with vendor/supplier management

2. Wide experience in the telecommunications/ Broadband / cable TV industry

3. Commercial supplier agreements (understanding of regulation and compliance would be massively beneficial but not essential

4. The ability to manage virtual teams working on a number of concurrent cross functional projects with a successful track record of delivering such projects.

5. Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills

6. Ability to engage and manage stakeholders

Desirable Skills/Experience

1. Recognised by a Project management institution as an accredited Project professional to APMP PRINCE2 or equivalent, Agile Practitioner

2. Awareness of process improvement methodologies including Lean & Six Sigma
