Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Cyber Security
Location: Reading office once or twice a week
Salary/Rate: Up to £545 a day Inside IR35
Start Date: 28/10/24
Job Type: 6 Month Contract (With scope to extend)

Company Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Business Analyst who will be responsible for investigating and analysing business situations, elaborating and defining clear business and functional requirements, related deliverables and ensuring traceability of requirements through design, development, testing and delivery, within the assigned programmes and projects to ensure business outcomes are articulated and understood.

Essential Skills

  • Substantial business analysis experience across the end-to-end project lifecycle within a structured environment, providing Lead Business Analyst services to complex projects and programmes, or as part of a Business Analysis team on highly complex programmes.
  • Vast knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and best practice approaches, including end-to-end requirements management. Shows pragmatism in being able to select and adapt the right approach for the right situation.
  • Substantial experience in the completion of business analysis deliverables on programmes within a cyber and information security function.
  • Skilled at leveraging excellent written and oral communication skills to assure a clear translation of business requirements into functional outcomes.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills. Builds strong engagement with SMEs, and establishes good relationships with business sponsors, project stakeholders, and supplier delivery teams.
  • Cyber Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (Risk Analytics & Reporting) and/or other GRC experience.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • The focus of the role will be on Cyber Project Delivery, with the strategy for the assigned project being set through the definition of the business analysis approach. It will be ensured that all BA output for the project is fit-for-purpose, represents value for money, and is delivered on time. Involvement will be in technically oriented projects that enable the organisation to meet its regulatory obligations.
  • Business outcomes will be ensured through effective requirements management using BA best practice techniques and tools.
  • Business Analysis deliverables on large and non-complex Cyber projects will be completed, with comprehensive and accurate documentation being produced.
  • Agreement between the business customer and solution provider on requirements, including traceability management across the full project lifecycle, will be established and maintained.

Desirable

  • Substantial experience of working on projects and programmes involving broad-based business and IT change with experience gained on cyber security related projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of leading cyber security, information resilience and/or risk management frameworks.
