We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled .NET Developer to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

We are seeking experienced .NET Developers to join their London team, contributing to projects in Capital Markets and Risk Management.

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using C#, .NET Core or .NET Framework.
2. Collaborate with business and IT teams on the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
3. Implement scalable solutions using MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and proven object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques.
4. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for SQL Server databases.
5. Apply best practices in software design including the use of appropriate design patterns.
6. Develop and support Windows desktop applications using WinForms and WPF, with experience in handling large on-premise databases.
7. Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and ensuring high standards in verbal and written communication.
8. Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using Git and modern DevOps practices.
9. Work on legacy and modern systems, including those involving WinForms.
10. Preferably apply hands-on experience within Capital Markets, specifically Market Risk, Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, and Trade Lifecycle functions

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Strong expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET Framework, and SQL Server.
2. Solid experience developing Windows desktop applications using WinForms and WPF, and managing large on-premise databases.
3. Solid knowledge of MVC, RESTful API development, OOP, and design patterns.
4. Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
5. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern deployment methodologies.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
