Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a Senior User Researcher to join their team for a three-month contract.
As a Senior User Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations to drive the design of intuitive and user-centric products. Leveraging your expertise in user research methodologies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to inform decision-making, improve user experiences, and contribute to our product's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct end-to-end user research activities, including planning, designing, executing, analyzing, and presenting findings.
- Utilize a variety of research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiries, to gather user insights and feedback.
- Synthesize research findings into actionable insights that inform product strategy, design, and development.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user-centered thinking into the product development process.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Drive the creation of user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that effectively communicate user needs to the team.
- Work in an agile environment, adapting research methodologies to fit project timelines and priorities.
Skills required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
- years of professional experience in user research, with a proven track record of conducting impactful research that drives product improvements.
- Proficiency in a wide range of user research methods and techniques, such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with UX design principles and an understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with tools such as user research platforms, survey tools, and data analysis software.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
