Service Sustainability Programme Lead
Location: Sheffield - 3 days onsite per week
Rate: £495 per day Inside IR35
Contract: Initial 6 Month Contract
We're looking for an experienced Service Sustainability Programme Lead to take ownership of a defined technology and service portfolio, driving improvements across stability, resilience, recoverability and operational controls.
This is a great opportunity to join a major organisation and lead a high-profile programme focused on reducing operational risk, improving service performance and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Service Sustainability Programme roadmap and prioritised remediation backlog
Drive initiatives covering resilience, technical debt, obsolescence, controls, monitoring and recoverability
Coordinate delivery across Technology, Product, Operations, Cyber, Risk, Change and third-party suppliers
Lead programme governance, including RAID, dependencies, milestones and steering forums
Produce clear and concise executive reporting on progress, risks and decisions
Drive audit and control readiness, ensuring evidence is captured and exceptions are actively managed
Track benefits including reduced major incidents, improved availability, stronger DR compliance and reduced technical debt
Influence senior stakeholders, secure resources and remove delivery blockers
Key Deliverables
SSP roadmap and prioritised remediation backlog
Service health dashboards and executive reporting
Governance cadence, RAID and dependency management
Resilience evidence including DR testing, monitoring and runbooks
Control uplift plans with clear owners, milestones and evidence
What We're Looking For
7 years' experience in technology delivery, programme management, service management, resilience or transformation
Strong programme/project management and delivery experience
Practical understanding of operational resilience, DR/BCP, RTO/RPO and failover
Experience with technology risk, controls, remediation and audit readiness
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Ability to work across infrastructure, cloud and application teams
Experience managing vendors or third parties
Strong risk-based approach to prioritisation and delivery
Experience within a regulated or financial services environment is highly desirable
PRINCE2, Agile, PMP or ITIL certification would be beneficial.
