Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer - AWS - FS Industry
Location: London - 2/3 days per week onsite
Salary/Rate: Up to £430 per day inside IR35
Start Date: 26/01/2026
Job Type: Contract until December 2026

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability best practices into the software lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions for proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Hands-on experience in creating dashboards, alarms, and metrics for AWS resources.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible).
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Splunk for log management, dashboard creation, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Database experience (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and performance tuning.
