Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Solace Messaging Specialist to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

1. Has working knowledge and experience of Solace Messaging (Preferable)
2. Understanding of Solace Messaging, ACLs, Queues, profiles, Solace administration via cli and Sol Admin.
3. Familiarity of message bus technologies (TIBCO, IBM Message queue but preferably Solace)
4. Performs installations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations of a variety of products aligned to globally consistent methodologies with moderate guidance
5. Comfortable using automation tools to install and maintain Networking equipment
6. Effectively communicates with a wide group of stakeholders
7. Executes the development and implementation of solution to appropriate standards with moderate guidance
8. Supports initiatives for process and service improvements within the team
9. Supports the maintenance of the integrated solution provided to clients with moderate guidance
10. Supports senior members of the team to deliver on the strategic priorities, has a working knowledge of basic concepts and procedures
11. Capable to handle client queries related to professional services post implementation with moderate guidance
12. Supports the technology lifecycle through the design, build and maintenance of systems, software and applications to ensure the highest quality outcomes across the domains
13. Works well as part of a dedicated project team - providing valuable input and considering business impact of decisions.
14. Works well with Network architects bringing designs to reality
15. Translates business requirements into technical requirements and infrastructure and network capacity needs by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analysis
16. Ensures relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
17. Schedules and coordinates capacity/network upgrades, liaising with other areas of the business as needed to ensure service level objectives are met
18. Manages upgrades and coordinates internal and third parties where required
19. Creates accurate documentation and monitors system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
20. Oversees design work in the network domain and contributes to creating solutions

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline
2. Previous experience in Architecture / Engineering
3. Significant experience in technology-based roles
4. Good Knowledge of Solace Messaging bus systems from an application and hardware perspective.
5. Familiarity of message bus technologies.
6. Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols
7. Demonstrable experience in network operations and project delivery with ideally Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto
8. Strong Network routing and switching skills including LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF
9. Knowledge of low latency and associated technologies as deployed in the financial sector
10. Excellent knowledge of network packet analysing and pack capture tools
11. Good knowledge and experience with Data Centre Networking including (Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, AVD, Fortimanager)
12. Experience in Cloud and good understanding of network security, including best practices
13. Good knowledge of required Service Management process, ideally ITIL knowledgeable (Service Now)
14. Proven exposure to financial sector and associated technologies
15. Good scripting and automation experience (Python & Ansible)
16. Excellent spoken and written English language skills with client management skills
