Job Title: Aladdin Full Stack API Engineer - Aladdin Implementation

Location: London (Hybrid)
Rate: £700-850 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initial 6 Months

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients who are delivering a major Aladdin transformation programme. They are looking to hire three experienced Full Stack API Engineers with proven exposure to BlackRock Aladdin APIs to support a large-scale integration and application migration initiative. This is a delivery focused engineering role requiring strong development capability and familiaoirty with Aladdin Implemntation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full stack API integrations with BlackRock Aladdin
• Repoint and refactor existing applications from CRD trading APIs to Aladdin APIs
• Rework and optimise Python scripts to align with Aladdin frameworks and data models
• Perform data mapping and impact analysis across legacy and Aladdin systems
• Integrate commercial and custom-built applications into the Aladdin ecosystem
• Work across frontend, backend, and API layers to support seamless application functionality

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Full Stack development experience (backend API layer essential)
• Proven hands-on experience working with BlackRock Aladdin APIs
• Prior involvement in an Aladdin implementation or migration programme
• Strong understanding of Aladdin data structures and integration patterns
• Experience repointing or migrating trading/API integrations (e.g. CRD to Aladdin)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and system integration patterns
• Strong Python development experience (particularly script reworking and automation)
• Experience working on commercial and bespoke investment applications
• Strong data mapping, transformation, and interface analysis skills
• Experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with CRD trading APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
• Experience with event-driven or messaging architectures
• Exposure to front-to-back investment workflows
