Job Title: Automation Engineer (eDV Cleared)
Location: London
Salary: Up to £65,000
Start Date: Immediately
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting secure enterprise infrastructure within highly regulated environments. Working with modern automation tools and engineering best practices, you will help design, deploy, and maintain reliable infrastructure services while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
1. Deliver infrastructure engineering activities, including hardware and software deployment, system integration, platform administration, and lifecycle management.
2. Design, maintain, and enhance automated build, test, and deployment pipelines aligned with CI/CD best practices.
3. Provide third-line technical support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and ensure service delivery in line with agreed SLAs.
4. Produce high-quality technical documentation and implement monitoring and automated remediation to improve platform reliability and performance.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Active eDV (Enhanced Developed Vetting) security clearance and experience working within secure enterprise environments.
2. Strong experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including SCCM, SCOM, SCORCH, Windows 11, and Windows Server.
3. Hands-on experience developing automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, alongside knowledge of CI/CD practices.
4. Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including endpoint management, VDI or thin client technologies, user access management, and enterprise security solutions.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
1. Experience with virtualisation technologies, Git version control, and automated testing frameworks.
2. Knowledge of Linux infrastructure administration and hybrid enterprise environments.
3. Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and modern infrastructure engineering practices.
4. Relevant technical certifications and experience in risk analysis, risk management, or security reporting.
