Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: Northampton (2/3 days per week on site)
Salary/Rate: Up to £475 per day
Start Date: March 2026
Job Type: 10 month contract (inside IR35)

Company Introduction:

We are currently recruiting for an Cloud Solutions Architect with experience in either AWS or Azure to join our tier-1 banking client on an exciting long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable, secure, and compliant data architectures (batch and streaming).
• Build and support data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Define data ingestion, processing, storage, and API integration patterns.
• Ensure solutions meet bank security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and governance teams.
• Produce clear architecture documentation and diagrams.

Required Technical Skills:

• AWS and/or Azure cloud experience (S3, AWS Glue, Lambda)
• Apache Kafka (streaming architecture).
• API design and integration.
• PySpark (batch and streaming).
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with ETL tools.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong understanding of secure data management in banking environments.
• Hands-on technical capability (not purely theoretical architecture).
• Comfortable working in Agile teams.
• Experience with architecture documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, Mermaid, and C4 diagrams.
