Day Rate: £590 Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Data Migration Lead to join a high-profile programme delivering large-scale data transformation. This role is ideal for a senior professional who combines strategic oversight with deep technical expertise and is comfortable working across both business and IT stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data migration initiatives

• Design and implement robust ETL migration pipelines

• Define and oversee logical data models and transformation strategies

• Ensure high standards of:

  • Data quality

  • Deduplication

  • Reconciliation and audit processes

• Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to align migration strategy with programme objectives

• Support governance processes and contribute to architecture discussions

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience leading complex data migration programmes

• Strong expertise in logical data modelling

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines

• Deep understanding of:

  • Data quality frameworks

  • Deduplication techniques

  • Reconciliation and audit controls

• Strong stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams

• Advanced proficiency in:

  • SQL

  • PowerShell

• Experience using SQL Server for data staging and transformation

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Experience with CRM, CPQ, and Field Service systems

• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse

• Knowledge of staged migration strategies within complex programmes

• Experience participating in governance forums (e.g., architecture boards)

• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and tools such as:

  • Databricks

  • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2)

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Experience in:

  • Dimensional modelling

  • Canonical data model development
