Job Title: Data Modernisation Architect (FS Industry)
Location: UK based (remote - occasional travel to client site)
Salary/Rate: £620-720 per day inside IR35
Start Date: 4-6 weeks
Job Type: Initial 3 month contract - likely to extend to 6

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Data Modernisation Architect to support a large-scale Legacy Data Exit Programme within a regulated Financial Services environment.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The role will focus on migrating legacy on-premise data warehouse capabilities into modern cloud data platforms, ensuring data integrity, regulatory reporting continuity, and successful transition.

• Lead legacy data warehouse migration and decommissioning activities.
• Analyse data usage, dependencies, and consumption patterns to support migration strategy.
• Define and execute migration plans including data validation, reconciliation, testing, UAT, and cutover activities.
• Support parallel runs, live proving, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with business, data, architecture, engineering, risk, and operations stakeholders.
• Provide clear reporting, risk updates, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Support delivery across modern data platforms including Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks.
• Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are maintained across risk areas including credit, liquidity, and market risk.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data transformation and migration programmes.
• Strong background in legacy data warehouse exit and modernisation.
• Experience with data reconciliation, validation, testing, and migration governance.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms; Databricks, Snowflake and AWS are highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management experience within regulated Financial Services environments.
