Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity available with one of our leading telecommunications clients. They are looking for an experienced DNS Lifecycle Project Manager to join a major infrastructure transformation programme focused on upgrading critical DNS platforms and delivering secure, resilient network services.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

As the DNS Lifecycle Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of key projects within a large-scale DNS Lifecycle programme, ensuring successful deployment of new DNS platforms while coordinating multiple stakeholders across engineering, security, and commercial teams.

1. Lead the delivery of DNS platform lifecycle upgrades, including Essential Security, Authoritative DNS and DNS Cache platforms.
2. Manage project plans, timelines, risks, budgets, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery against programme milestones.
3. Coordinate internal engineering, cybersecurity, product, commercial teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Produce and maintain project documentation, governance reports, risk registers, and delivery updates for senior stakeholders.
5. Support the development of operational procedures, governance processes, and incident response planning for the upgraded DNS environment.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Experience delivering telecoms infrastructure projects as a Project Manager, ideally within regulated environments.
2. Strong experience managing Agile delivery programmes using methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum, supported by a recognised certification (PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe or Scrum).
3. Proven background delivering network infrastructure projects involving core IP, fibre, mobile, or similar telecommunications technologies.
4. Excellent stakeholder management, risk management, documentation, and communication skills with experience using MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel.

Desirable Skills/Experience

Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Previous experience delivering DNS infrastructure or DNS lifecycle projects within a telecommunications environment.
2. Knowledge of telecoms security controls, network resilience, access management, and supply chain risk management.
3. Experience conducting vendor risk assessments and working with third-party technology suppliers.
4. Understanding of telecoms threat modelling, resilience testing, and cybersecurity governance.
