Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AUD 130,000 - 150,000 per annum

Company Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity available with a leading civil engineering and drilling contractor specialising in trenchless technology and underground infrastructure. The company is expanding its operations and is seeking a highly skilled HDD Operator to join their growing team.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

As an HDD Operator you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining horizontal directional drilling systems, leading site operations, and ensuring all work meets project specifications and safety standards.

1. Operate and maintain horizontal drilling systems and underground construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Plan and execute HDD projects according to the project plan and schedule
3. Manage site documentation, reporting, and communication between field staff and supervisors.
4. Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting of defects.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Experience as an HDD Operator
2. Competent with locating systems and drilling fluids
3. Good understanding of site safety and documentation
4. Willingness to relocate to Australia

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management skills.
2. Time and project management abilities with a focus on safety and efficiency.
