Job Title: IT Asset Management Analyst
Location: Manchester- 5 days per week in the office
Salary/Rate: £200 day rate inside IR35
Start Date: April-May 2026
Job Type: 6 month contract- may be extended

In response to growing client demand, we are seeking a proactive, intellectually curious, and driven Software License Expert to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of enterprise-wide software asset management-analyzing discovery data, digitizing software entitlements, and configuring SAM tools to optimize license usage.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, improving cost efficiency, and engaging directly with software publishers to negotiate and manage contracts. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain software license compliance across the full lifecycle: purchase, deployment, usage, reallocation, and retirement
• Analyze enterprise discovery data and digitize software entitlements into the SAM system
• Configure and manage software assets within Flexera One
• Produce and analyze software inventory and compliance reports, supporting internal and external audits
• Interpret software license agreements, usage rights, and vendor terms for major publishers
• Manage vendor portals (e.g., Microsoft VLSC, Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Adobe LWS, Adobe Creative Cloud)
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities to optimize license usage and reduce costs
• Develop and implement processes aligned with industry best practices for software asset management
• Generate actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance and cost efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Flexera One or similar SAM tools
• Solid understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, Adobe)
• Ability to interpret license agreements and assess licensing risks and implications
• Experience with software compliance audits and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive mindset with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Any degree
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification (preferred)
• Software Asset Management certifications (e.g., Flexera, IAITAM, BSA) - preferred
