Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Bournemouth x 5 days in office
Salary/Rate: £400-£409 a day inside IR35
Start Date: End of March
Job Type: Contract - 6 months

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and modern frontend technologies.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust, high-performance applications while ensuring code quality, scalability, and security across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, SQL, and AWS.

• Build scalable backend services and APIs to support enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.

• Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and software defects.

• Maintain strong code quality, testing, and automation practices.

• Implement security and data protection best practices.

• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers where required.

• Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

• professional software development experience

• Strong expertise in Java backend development

• Experience developing full-stack applications

• Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks

• Experience working in Agile development environments
