Job Title: NextJS (React) Developer - Hybrid
Location: West-London / Manchester - Hybrid 1 to 2 days a week on-site if required

Our client, a global multi-media organisation have an urgent requirement for two experienced Front End NextJS (React) Developers.


Company Introduction

Working as a Front End NextJS Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in redeveloping one of our customer-facing websites for one of the UK's largest brands, including a prestigious homepage. Following an initial migration phase, you will contribute to the integration of mini-app functionality and leverage CRO and analytics to optimize content, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience. This role involves utilizing the Next.js framework to develop and maintain cutting-edge web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions that not only meet our clients' needs but also exceed their expectations. Job Responsibilities/Objectives

- Proficiency with CSS, Typescript and HTML5
- Deep knowledge of NextJS
- Experience with the NextJS App Router, NextJS Image provider, Deferable streaming views via suspense, React Server Components, NextJS Server Actions
- Demonstrable experience working with Headless CMS
- Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
- Ability to provide SEO solutions for single page apps using NextJS, Critical Rendering Path
- Core Web Vitals
- Performance Optimisation
- Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects and keeping the framerate above 30fps at all times
- Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
- Validating user actions on the client side and providing responsive feedback
- Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading parallel async, when needed
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Deployment: Participate in the deployment process and ensure smooth deployment of Angular applications to production environments.
- Optimization: Optimize frontend performance through code refactoring, browser caching, and other optimization techniques.


Required Skills/Experience

- Experience as a Digital Software Engineer in cross functional team.
- Have a proven track record of creating ideas in a similar organisation.
- Be able to understand user feedback and analytics to make informed decisions.
- A good understanding of product lifecycles and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right audiences.
- Be proficient and effective in working with Jira and Confluence.
- Documentation: Document technical designs, specifications, and implementation details to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in frontend development, particularly in the Angular ecosystem.
