Responsibilities:

As a Database Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing database migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance. Active SC is mandatory for this role.

• Lead the development of comprehensive migration strategies, considering factors such as data volume, dependencies, and business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration objectives and success criteria.:
• Configure and optimise Oracle GoldenGate for efficient data replication and migration.
• Design GoldenGate solutions tailored to specific migration requirements, ensuring data consistency and integrity throughout the migration process.
• Architect and deploy database solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), leveraging its capabilities for performance optimisation and cost efficiency.
• Implement best practices for database management and monitoring on OCI, ensuring reliability and availability.
• Lead the execution of database migrations, monitoring progress and resolving issues in real-time.
• Implement proactive measures to minimise downtime and mitigate risks during migration activities.
• Maintain detailed documentation of migration plans, configurations, and post-migration procedures.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members to enhance overall expertise in database migration technologies

• Demonstrated expertise in utilising Oracle GoldenGate for database migration projects. This includes hands-on experience with GoldenGate configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure successful and efficient data replication and migration.
• Utilise Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GoldenGate replication and data consistency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the status of migration projects.
