Job Title: Platform Engineer

Salary/Rate: £450 per day
Start Date: 15th July
Job Type: 6 month Contract

A leading UK banking and financial services organisation serving millions of personal, business, and commercial customers across the country. The organisation is undergoing a significant digital transformation, investing heavily in cloud technologies, automation, and modern engineering practices to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative financial services.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives 1.Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions across SaaS applications and cloud infrastructure.
2.Build and manage a centralized real-time console dashboard providing complete visibility of service health and operational performance.
3.Monitor availability, latency, error rates, resource utilization, and platform reliability across distributed systems
4.Configure intelligent alerting and incident detection mechanisms.

Required Skills/Experience
1.Proven experience supporting and monitoring SaaS or cloud-based environments.
2.Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
3.Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, ELK stack, Splunk, Azure Monitor
4.Experience building operational dashboards and centralized monitoring consoles.

Desirable Skills/Experience
1.Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
2.CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
3.AIOps or machine learning-based monitoring solutions.
4.Cloud or monitoring platform certifications.
