Job Title: Portfolio manager - Risk Control and Technology
Location: Sheffield
Salary/Rate: £443 a day
Start Date: 15th May
Job Type: Contract

Company Introduction Were working with a global financial services organisation focused on investment banking, looking to bring in an experienced Portfolio Manager to support a large-scale Technology Risk & Controls (R&C) function.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives 1.Establishing portfolio governance (structure, forums, cadence, reporting)
2.Creating standardised demand intake and prioritisation processes
3.Delivering full visibility across initiatives, risks, dependencies, and resources
4.Improving audit readiness (Internal / External Audit, 2LoD / 3LoD)

Required Skills/Experience
1.Strong experience managing large-scale technology or risk portfolios in financial services
2.Deep understanding of Technology Risk & Controls, including governance, audit, and remediation
3.Proven track record of setting up governance frameworks from scratch
4.Comfortable operating across complex stakeholder environments

Desirable Skills/Experience
1.Experience transitioning programmes into BAU
2.Project/programme delivery background
3. knowledge of risk tooling and reporting frameworks
4.Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at senior level
