I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an SC Cleared SAS Data Engineer, and based on your experience, I thought it would be worth reaching out.

Role Overview

This position focuses on developing and optimising data pipelines within SAS environments, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise data pipelines using SAS (Enterprise Guide and, where applicable, Viya)
• Design and implement SQL-based data transformations with a focus on performance and scalability
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Perform unit testing and validation to ensure data quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes
• Document workflows and processes to ensure maintainability
• Support migration and modernisation initiatives, including transitions to SAS Viya

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
• Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance tuning)
• Exposure to SAS Viya and cloud-enabled SAS environments
• Experience in data testing, validation, and reconciliation
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Solid understanding of data models and data flows
• Comfortable working independently and within agile or hybrid teams
