Company Introduction

The Senior Network Automation Engineer is a senior technical role requiring deep expertise in telco/enterprise-scale network automation and orchestration across complex, multi-vendor and multi-domain environments. This role is responsible for independently leading complex customer engagements end-to-end, translating business requirements into robust automation solutions, and acting as a technical authority and mentor within the team.

This individual brings strong proficiency in the Itential Automation Platform (Platform & IAG), expert-level Python, Ansible, and API-driven automation, alongside a strong grounding in modern networking technologies. They are comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, influencing solution design, delivery approach, and technical best practices.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Lead the design and delivery of large-scale network automation solutions across multi-vendor, multi-domain environments.
• Own customer engagements from requirements gathering through solution design, implementation, testing, and handover.
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable automation workflows.
• Design and implement Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 automation use cases using the Itential Automation Platform.
• Act as a technical authority on Itential Platform, IAG, and related capabilities, including lifecycle management (LCM).
• Build automation solutions aligned to Itential best practices and roadmap features.
• Develop and maintain high-quality automation code using Python, Ansible, REST APIs, and related technologies.
• Design and support highly available, enterprise-grade automation platforms and integrations.
• Integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Infoblox, and NetBox.
• Implement and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automation assets.
• Engage confidently with customers and stakeholders.
• Mentor and upskill junior engineers.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Extensive experience leading network automation initiatives in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise with the Itential Automation Platform (Platform and IAG).
• Expert-level Python, Ansible, and API development.
• Proven delivery of complex enterprise automation projects.
• Multi-vendor experience: Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, F5.
• REST, SSH, and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Infoblox, NetBox.
• Experience with HA platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of all Itential products and platform capabilities, including LCM and IAG.
• Ability to build according to Itential best practices.
• Ability to design solutions aligned to Itential's product roadmap.
• Strong architectural mindset balancing scale, security, and operability.
