Salary/Rate: £400-450 per day outside IR35
Start Date: Immediate / Short notice preferred
Job Type: Initial 6 month contract

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled a Senior Solution / Technical Architect to join their data focused client on a fully remote basis.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will work alongside our clients and delivery teams, owning the end-to-end design and implementation of complex technology solutions. This is a hands-on role that bridges pre-sales, architecture, and delivery.

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement

• Engage with prospective clients during pre-sales cycles, translating business needs into credible, costed technical solutions.
• Act as a product and platform evangelist - articulating the value of proposed architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Support tenders, bids, and RFP responses, providing technical narrative, solution design, and effort estimation.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Own the end-to-end delivery of solutions, leading design, architecture, and implementation from inception through to go-live.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the solution is built accurately against requirements.
• Act as the technical authority and reviewer throughout delivery - the escalation point for design decisions and a trusted adviser to the client.
• Create demos, pilots, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate approaches and accelerate client buy-in.

Hands-On Technical Contribution

• Contribute directly to coding and technical implementation - approximately 25% of your time will be hands-on.
• Provide code reviews, architectural guidance, and technical governance across the delivery team.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience in technology architecture, solution design, or senior engineering roles.
• Demonstrable track record of owning solution architecture and delivery on complex enterprise programmes.
• Experience engaging directly with clients, stakeholders, and business sponsors - not just delivery teams.
• Comfortable operating in a client-facing pre-sales environment; able to build credibility quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to produce clear architecture documentation, solution papers, and bid responses.
• Self-directed with a delivery-first mindset and the ability to work independently in a consulting environment.
• Tech stack: Python, Java, AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Containers, SQL, NoSQL
• Nice to have: React, JavaScript
