Skilled Worker Welder - Press Boring ( Auger Boring Operations)

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Skilled Welder to join specialist auger boring operations across Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and welding of steel and pipe components used in complex underground infrastructure projects.

Your work will directly contribute to the quality, safety, and success of major civil engineering and pipeline construction works.

This is a permanent position within mobile construction crews working on nationwide infrastructure projects.

You will be working on large-scale infrastructure and tunnelling-related projects delivered for a leading European civil engineering contractor known for high technical standards, strong project delivery, and complex underground construction works.

These are well-organised, safety-focused sites involving modern auger boring systems and demanding logistics operations.

Project Information - Auger Boring Operations

• Location: Nationwide, Germany
• Project Type: Auger Boring
• Working schedule: approx. 48 hours per week (5-day week)
• Occasional Saturday work depending on project requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Welding of steel and pipe components within press boring and pipe jacking operations
• Preparation, assembly, and adjustment of pipe strings, jacking pipes, and steel structures
• Execution of weld seams in accordance with technical drawings, welding procedures, and applicable standards
• Inspection, rework, and repair of welded joints as required
• Support with assembly, dismantling, and modification of auger boring equipment
• Compliance with all quality, safety, and occupational health regulations
• Accurate documentation of completed work in line with project requirements
• Close cooperation with machine operators, foremen, and site management

Your Profile

• Completed training as a welder, metal fabricator, pipeline constructor, or similar (preferred)
• Experience in pipeline construction, civil engineering, or specialist civil works is an advantage
• Valid welding certifications (e.g. MAG, stick welding, optionally TIG) preferred
• Ability to work independently with precision and attention to quality
• Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and physical resilience
• Willingness to travel and work on different construction sites across Germany
