Job Title:Strategic Sourcing Lead - Contingent Workforce (Telecommunications | Belgium)

We are partnering with a leading Telecommunications organisation to appoint a Strategic Sourcing Lead for a high-impact, fast-paced engagement focused on rate card renegotiation across contingent workforce categories.
This is a critical role at the heart of a major cost transformation initiative. You will lead complex supplier negotiations, leveraging deep Belgian market insight and advanced analytics to unlock significant savings-while ensuring continuity of operations and retention of top-tier technical talent.
The Opportunity
You will take full ownership of a strategic renegotiation programme across technical, IT, and engineering job families, engaging directly with senior stakeholders and key suppliers in a high-stakes environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a consulting mindset, strong commercial instincts, and proven experience navigating the Belgian contingent labour landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Define & Lead Negotiation Strategy
Build and execute a structured approach to drive rate reductions across multiple workforce categoriesMarket Benchmarking & Insight
Apply deep knowledge of the Belgian labour market to assess rate competitiveness and inform negotiation positionsSupplier Engagement
Lead commercial negotiations with Tier 1 staffing agencies and specialist telecom engineering providersSenior Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted advisor to Procurement and Engineering leadership, balancing cost optimisation with talent qualityEnd-to-End Execution
Own the negotiation lifecycle, including data analysis, supplier rebuttals, and executive-level reporting
Your Profile
Extensive experience in Procurement or Contingent Workforce sourcing within Belgium
Proven track record in the Telecommunications sector
Background in management consulting or similar high-performance environments
Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of Belgian labour law, supplier margins, and wage indexation
Advanced analytical capability with the ability to translate data into negotiation strategy
Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a strong advantage)
Engagement Details
Start: Immediate
Duration: 2-3 months (high-intensity engagement)
Location: Belgium (Brussels / Antwerp)
Travel: Required for key workshops and supplier negotiations
