Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our tier one banking clients! They are currently looking for a skilled technical project Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

We are seeking an experienced Programme / Project Manager to provide critical support to an Infrastructure team, managing IT Service Owner (ITSO) engagement for platform migration pre-requisite activities.The role focuses on coordinating enablement and upgrade activities required ahead of large-scale migrations, ensuring impacted services and platforms are fully prepared, tracked, and approved before production execution.This is a coordination-heavy role requiring strong stakeholder management, structured planning, and disciplined tracking across multiple infrastructure teams and service owners.

Key Responsibilities

Programme & Workstream Management

  • Own and manage a dedicated Migration Pre-Tasks / Enablement workstream, decoupled from core migration execution.
  • Plan, track, and report readiness activities required prior to migration events.
  • Align enablement activities with the overarching migration schedule, while running as an independent execution stream.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience as a Programme or Project Manager within large-scale infrastructure or platform programmes
  • Proven track record coordinating pre-requisite or enablement workstreams for migrations or major upgrades
  • Hands-on experience working with:
  • Infrastructure teams
  • IT Service Owners (ITSOs)
  • Complex multi-stakeholder environments
  • Excellent planning, dependency management, and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity across multiple teams

Planning & Execution Coordination

  • Coordinate execution of infrastructure upgrades and prerequisite changes across virtualised environments and clusters.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure correct sequencing of enablement activities.
  • Manage reboots, downtime windows, and non‑functional dependencies as part of upgrade execution planning.
