Test Automation Engineer

Job Title: Test Automation Engineer
Location: Glasgow/Bournemouth
Salary/Rate: £500 - £530/DOE per day inside IR35
Job Type: Hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite

We have a new opportunity for an investment bank supporting UAT for a Payments Market Expansion programme. You'll build and maintain automation for end-to-end flows, ensuring reliable deployments and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and deploy automation services across environments
• Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and fix issues
• Turn POCs into scalable, production-ready solutions
• Support UAT by working closely with users to resolve issues
• Monitor performance and ensure no drop in service quality
• Create clear documentation and FAQs
• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive best practices

Required experience:

• Strong Python and/or Java skills
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proven automation testing and troubleshooting experience
• Understanding of payments flows
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desired:

• UAT experience
• CI/CD and automation frameworks
• Investment banking or payments domain knowledge
