Job Title: Test Director - Banking
Location: London/ Hybrid
Start Date: July
Job Type: Contract- Inside IR35.

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering / Test Director to support a major Banking & Capital Markets transformation programme.

The role will focus on shaping and owning the test strategy, leading complex test delivery, managing senior client stakeholders, and ensuring testing meets quality, time and cost objectives.

Key experience required:

• Senior Test Director / QA Director / Quality Engineering leadership experience
• Strong UK Banking, Capital Markets or Financial Services background
• Experience creating test strategies for large-scale transformation programmes
• Strong client-facing stakeholder management skills
• Functional, integration, UAT, non-functional, performance and automation testing experience
• Experience managing offshore / nearshore teams
• Test management tooling experience, such as JIRA, ADO, X-Ray, ALM or Zephyr
• Strong commercial awareness and delivery ownership

Desirable:

• ISTQB Advanced / Test Manager certification
• Automation framework experience
• Exposure to GenAI tooling within the SDLC
• Previous consulting / professional services experience

This would suit a Test Director, Head of Testing, QA Director, Quality Engineering Lead or Senior Test Programme Lead with strong banking sector experience
