We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Manager - Snowflake & DBT Specialist (ideally with Aladdin implementation experience) to join their team in London on a hybrid basis.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
Snowflake DBT specialist focuses on the engineering and architecture of the Modern Data Stack to replace legacy, manual processes in support of an investment platform implementation (e.g. Aladdin).

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Data Transformation: Utilises DBT (Data Build Tool) to write modular, version-controlled SQL to transform raw investment and reference data into clean, business-ready tables within Snowflake.
• Infrastructure Modernisation: Spearheads the migration of legacy on-premise investment data to cloud-native architectures.
• Pipeline Orchestration: Manages the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion into Snowflake to outputs supporting the investment platform.
• Data Governance & Quality: Implements automated testing (DBT-tests) and manages data lineage to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and GDPR.
• Operational Optimisation: Identifies and repairs systemic inefficiencies by moving to modular code.
• Compute Management: Optimises Snowflake ?Warehouses? and storage to maintain high platform performance while controlling cloud expenditure.
• Cross-Functional Delivery: Works within an Agile/Scrum framework, coordinating with developers, testers, and offshore Centres of Excellence to provide 24/7 support.
• Highly desirable: Hands on Blackrock Aladdin implementation experience
